Start date: 14 June 2010
The E-Learning component of the London module is an integral part of the programme and Associates should allow at least 14 hours’ study to prepare for the start of the first face to face module in London.
One of the advantages of the E-Learning module is that it is entirely flexible. Associates can choose topics from a set menu according to their existing knowledge and experience. Associates also have the freedom to decide when and how to fit their study time into their work and personal schedules. In addition the E-Learning component allows Associates to become familiar with tools for online participation and collaboration and to share their knowledge and experience with other Associates.
The aims of the E-Learning component are to give Associates an opportunity to:
- Familiarise themselves with the underpinning knowledge content of the programme, in particular, essential leadership theory and sustainable development policy and practice.
- Enhance their understanding of climate change challenges and opportunities in the context of London and Europe.
- Develop their personal web presence and become familiar with tools for online participation and collaboration.
- Get to know other Associates and share their learning and experience with the group.
