Inspiring leadership for a sustainable world

About LEAD

“Being a LEAD Fellow is one of my proudest achievements. It has hauled me out of my comfort zone. Provided me with an amazing network and ignited my passion for energy and environmental issues. Most importantly, it has helped me understand how to make a difference and given me the inspiration to actively pursue those ambitions”

Alex Fowler, Energy & Environment Specialist, Regional Development Agency, One North East.

LEAD International

72983825Founded in 1992, LEAD is an international non-profit organisation with a fast growing network of 2000 leaders in more than 90 countries. Our shared mission is to inspire leadership for a sustainable world.

We do this by searching worldwide for outstanding people, developing their leadership potential through our innovative training programmes and working with them to mobilise others to make a real difference to the future of this planet.

LEAD Network

We are a unique international network of professionals and training organisations working in all areas of sustainable development. LEAD network members are highly successful leaders working on complex local to global environmental and development issues in more than 80 countries of the world. More than 2000 LEAD Fellows bring the network alive. To find out how Fellows stay connected click here.

LEAD Europe

Established in 1996, LEAD Europe joined LEAD’s founding members in the developing world to fill a gap in the global representation of the LEAD network.

LEAD Europe Fellows strengthen the link between global North and South within the LEAD family, and are well-placed to partner with others in the network across the ‘development divide’. They are based in more than 25 countries across the European region and beyond, encompassing dozens of nationalities, and they represent an invaluable resource of knowledge and skills for sustainable development in a diverse range of sectors including: law, broadcasting, policy-making, community engagement and investment banking.

To become a Fellow, individuals must complete the LEAD training programme in ‘Leadership for Sustainable Development’.

LEAD Europe is one of 12 regional LEAD Member Programmes delivering Fellow’s training to become part of the vibrant network.
